About Us
Wells United Church is a pioneering and an evangelical Christian fellowship that seeks to be a living and relevant expression of the love of God in our city today.
In 1917, long before Local Ecumenical Partnerships were imagined, the two local chapels in Union Street, Wells - the Baptist and Congregational - had the inspired vision to come together to form one United Church...
For over 100 years the church has continued to unite people irrespective of denomination, tradition, creed and background, and as such,
"Everyone one is warmly welcome".

Access to the church and throughout the building is wheelchair friendly. A hearing loop, disabled toilet and modern seating makes for comfortable worship.
A small kitchenette provides drinks, tea and coffee.

What We Believe
We are an independent church, affiliated to the United Reformed Church and the Baptist denominations, and adhere to the Statement concerning the Nature, Faith and Order of the URC and the three-part Declaration of Principle of the Baptist Union.
"By Christ, in the Spirit, we come to the Father. We are baptised into the life of the triune God and live to share God's mission."
